First day
Arrival at an hotel in Parma in the afternoon, dinner in
a typical restaurant in the city centre.
The view is on Ducale Park.
Second day
Arrival at Torrechiara: visit of the castle and of a winery,
where “Malvasia” is produced, typical
wine of Parma. Hear the fantastic landscape is characterized
by vineyards, that border with the
castle. A walk is compulsory! We will visit also an ham industry
to know the processing of the“Parma Ham”. At the
end a rich tasting: of ham, fresh bread and Malvasia. In the
afternoon guided visit of the city centre of Parma to admire
the wonderful Dome’s Square, where the
Cathedral, the Baptiser and the Palace of Bishop overlook.
The visit continues with Saint Giovanni’s
Church and Pilotta Palace.
Dinner in a typical restaurant in the city centre.
Third day
At early morning visit to a cheese factory to discover secrets
of Parmigiano Reggiano production:
milk’s cooking , creation of the typical forms and the
store where cheese matures.
Then, you can visit Verdiane Lands. In Busseto there is Verdi
Theatre, the place where Giuseppe
Verdi is born and Villa Sant’Agata. Lunch in a typical “Verdi’s
place”, where you can listen the
famous music of the artist. Tasting of cheeses and cured pork
meats, wine in the bowl, homemade
cakes and jams. In the afternoon arrival at Fontanellato to
appreciate the beautiful San Vitale
Fortress, in the centre of the characteristic village. Return
in Parma late in the afternoon. Free
dinner.
Fourth day
Free morning to have for shopping or individual free visits.
Free lunch. In the afternoon departure
to “Bassa Parmense” to visit the fantastic Meli
Lupi Fortress in the centre of Soragna and to
admire the numerous frescoes and plasters of XVI and XVII century.
After, arrival at Polesine and
chance to discover a cave where the resounding
and exquisite Culatello acquires its extraordinary
qualities. Dinner in a famous restaurant to taste
typical Food Valley’s food. Overnight at the hotel.
Fifth day
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure, in the
morning, to Fidenza. Visit of the city
centre and of the Cathedral., that is a
fundamental area during the pilgrimage
along the route of the Pilgrims, “Via
Francigena”. In the Museum of the Dome
there is an interesting exhibition of
precious objects of sacred art. This is the
real treasure of the Cathedral. In a second
time arrival at Outlet Fidenza Village to
fashion shopping, at reduced prices. Free
lunch. Departure and end of the service
